Fluid trait reference
Fluid phases, flags, traits and container descriptors.
Edit an existing fluid at data/<fluid-namespace>/fluid_property/<fluid-path>.json. The required outer fields are listed below. See Datapack Settings for loading and replacement behavior.
Outer fields
| Field | Meaning and default | Range |
|---|---|---|
type | Fluid phase: liquid, gaseous, or plasma. | |
color | Fluid display tint as an integer or #RRGGBB. | −2³¹ to 2³¹−1 or #RRGGBB |
symbol | Fluid hazard symbol shown in the UI. | |
temperature | Fluid temperature used by thermal behavior. | −2³¹ to 2³¹−1 |
nfpa | Health, flame, and reactivity ratings. | |
flags | Stateless trait names from the table below. | |
traits | Map of parameterized traits. | |
containers | Map of container descriptors. | |
shares | Fluid-tag references accepted as equivalents by loose tanks. |
Stateless flags
| Flag | Effect |
|---|---|
gaseous_art | Enables gas handling by flare and tank systems. |
viscous | Uses viscous fluid handling and flow behavior. |
amat | Applies antimatter containment and drain handling. |
leadcontainer | Requires a lead-compatible fluid container. |
delicious | Heals living entities exposed to its mist. |
noid | Hides the fluid from the fluid identifier. |
nocontainer | Excludes standard fluid-container families. |
unsiphonable | Excludes the fluid from siphon pickup. |
Value names
| Vocabulary | Accepted names |

Foreign-fluid equivalence
shares is one hashed fluid-tag reference such as "#c:diesel" or a list of references. Loose/code-typed tanks accept tag members and lock to the first arriving fluid. Explicitly selected tank types and ducts use the exact fluid; outputs stay NTM fluids.
